Fresh, because of local soil

The food forest assortment consists of dozens of types of fruit, nuts and other products such as wood and mushrooms. Within such a ‘ food system’ we look for the most creative and profitable way on a case-by-case basis to satisfy our customers.

One of the victories that was achieved is a certain combination of entrepreneurs, managers, pickers, planters and food preparers. A joint and local harvest and the marketing of products also shows that the whole was more than the sum of its parts.

The diversity of plant species enables us to discover and prepare new products and recipes. This requires more professional groups than those of the food forest farmer alone. There are therefore opportunities and challenges in the development of products such as soap, recipes and construction materials.

Additional work
In this way there is also something to be gained in a social context . Volunteer waiting lists already indicate that the supply of food forest jobs is urgent. More food forests in the area provide rewarding additional work for young and old. Involvement in our food and nature therefore benefits better health and well-being.
